On the first week in Feb Blake headed in to the studio armed with a handful of songs, set to be the singles from his upcoming LP. The album is being produced by Simon Johnson of Hillbilly Hut and features some of the finest musicians the Australian country music scene has to offer.

“The songs came together really quickly,” says Blake. “We had a clear vision for how we wanted them to sound and the band nailed it in a few takes of each song”.

The sessions are the first half of an ongoing project set for release later this year. But its first offering, “Ashes or Dust” will appear sometime in late August on streaming services.
